Screen flickering in Chrome fullscreen (Kubuntu)

Screen Flickers when notifications/overlay pops up above content in fullscreen media, such as YouTube videos or Twitch streams. There’s a clip posted at https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/1ro6sgh/screen_flickering_in_chrome_fullscreen_kubuntu/.

This issue showed up a while ago (about a month or so), and I only have one fix which I don’t really like.

Issue does not show up when screen recording, which is why I used my phone.

Disabling HDR from system settings for the monitor or disabling GPU acceleration in chrome stops this from happening, but disabling HDR from Chrome (setting Force Color Profile to sRGB) does not.

This problem does not occur in other fullscreen applications (with or without HDR), like Jellyfin Media Player or games (with and without gamescope).

Has anyone encountered this/does anyone have a better solution to the problem?

hi, this could be because lack of graphics drivers in your GPU amd test install game dependences is work

Solved my issue by adding `–disable-features=WaylandWpColorManagerV1` in CLI args when lauchning Chrome (if you want to add it by default when opening Chrome from KRunner, Application Launcher etc. use the Menu Editor).
