Hi,
I’ve been using Kdenlive for a while now, and I think it’s great.
One thing that could speed up my video editing process by like 10x, would be automatically moving keyframes. I’ll try to explain what I mean: I very often use this structure for keyframing effects:
postimg.cc/F71wt80S
(two keyframes in the beginning and two at the end)
I need to copy the same effect for hundreds of clips. The clips differ in length though, and I need the last two keyframes to be at the very end, no matter the length of the clip, just like above. So I usually take the shortest clip of them all, apply my effects to that one, and then copy the same effects to all of the clips I need to. Then I go in each clip and move the last two keyframes all the way to the end. (otherwise the last keyframes disappear)
before:
postimg.cc/ns139GvZ
after:
postimg.cc/qgq1gngV
(hope I explained it well, if not, just ask)
Now, this takes a long time, therefore I would like to script it in some way. (Creating a script that recognizes the keyframes and moves the mouse to move them in the GUI seems difficult.) I was thinking that maybe by editing the .kdenlive project file I could use the find and replace feature or something like that, but I don’t really understand how the effects get applied in that file. If you have any idea or suggestion, please tell me. I might also be looking at this problem the wrong way.
Thanks
P.S: I’m sorry but I had to upload the images this way and you need to copy and paste since I’m a new user to the forum and I can’t post more than one image
