Secondary monitor black screen

My secondary monitor has starts up with a huge black patch after updating to KDE 6.7. Removing the ksreen config followed by restarting helps (some times). Has anyone else run into this issue? If so, how have you permanently resolved it?

This issue happens for both Wayland and X11. I don’t think its a kernel issue since my NVIDIA drivers build and load cleanly for the running kernel.

I am running:

  • Fedora 44, KDE Plasma 6.7, kernal 7.0.13-200.fc44.x86_64
  • GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3070TI, driver 595.80 (akmod-nvidia)
  • Monitors: AOC 24G1WG4 (DisplayPort, primary) + Acer R240HY (HDMI, secondary)

Maybe a config you have set?

You could add a new user abd then login as that user.

Does the problem reproduce with the new user?
