I’ve been working on a new project called KookKool, an open-source, crowdsourced recipe-sharing application built with Kirigami and KNewStuff.
I’ve just released a V1 that focuses on a clean, HIG-compliant interface and a specific workflow for community-based recipe sharing via GitHub. You can find the source code at salsa gitlab under name kookkool
Why I built it: I wanted to create a streamlined, native KDE experience for managing and sharing recipes. I’ve implemented a validation system for dietary categories and ingredients to keep the community database organized, and I’m aiming for a workflow that is easy for both contributors and users.
Seeking Advice & Collaboration:

Feedback: I’d love for any interested users or developers to take a look at the codebase or try the build. I am especially interested in any feedback regarding the workflow or the implementation of the Kirigami/KNewStuff stack.

Design Help: As the developer, I’m currently focused on the functionality, but the project is lacking a visual identity. Is there an artist or designer here who might be interested in helping me create a logo that fits the KDE ecosystem style?

Collaboration: I am aware of the existing Kookbook project. I’d love to open a dialogue with the community (and potentially @sune) about whether the features I’ve developed could complement existing work in the ecosystem or if there is interest in modular integration.
