I have Kubuntu setup with Kde-plasma on a old Voyo i7 x64 2in1 with 16gb ram, 512gb ssd and a Intel hd620 single mobile gpu! All small and big things setup and tested for daily gameplay in “The Lord of the Rings Online” without thermal throttling and stable io management for all day gaming!
Maintenance for optimal performance memorywise and networkwise is taken care of in a handful functions in a gameplay script which monitors all aspects of tuning and stable running and stored in log file to verify the performance!
Wow what a gorgeous background ![]()
Been running this thing since, what, june/july 2023. Plasma 5.27-ish. Flawless, zeroooo issues.Best kde experience ever. So, far from being in a hurry to get the latest of the latest, next will be the same thing. MXlinux. Dunno, got the feeling that the MX guys&gals are keeping a watchfull eye open.
just combination of 2 global styles and a lot of cool plasmoids ![]()

That’s because of high brightness from what I see.
Does the problem still occur on reducing the brightness/backlight levels?
I actually set my brightness quite low by default. It’s set to about 50% of what the screen can do, so I don’t think it’s a brightness issue. More like an overly sensitive eyes issue. But I’ve had loads of eye problems for the last 10 years, so I’m not the typical case there.
If I were to have a light theme with full brightness, I wouldn’t cope.
Thanks for the suggestion, though.
As usual, your desktops wallpapers are Pro-Photographer Quality Hi-res ones, plus a tasteful touch of elegance.
Actually, the wallpaper, the orange dancer and the blue orange girl are….rectangular screenshots of a video. When in Rome and all that..
that teal looks almost perfect for my fiance’s rig , any way to change the system tray stuff to teal also tho? ( i haven’t messed around trying to make my own personally and thats definitely beyond him
The tray icons uses symbolic in its name so I don’t think it’s possible. Though you can use the “colorize panel” add-on. to get that effect.
