I’m not sure exactly when it happened but for some reason the session and power management buttons in the Application Manager aren’t working for me anymore. Plasma 6 & Arch.
Hi - are they missing from the Application Launcher/Kickoff menu, or present but not functioning?
And does rebooting bring it back?
They’re present, they just do nothing. Rebooting does not solve the issue.
Are you using the X11 session or the Wayland session? Does the problem affect both, or only one?
X11, and I actually deleted the Wayland sessions right after installing.
I suspect this is an X11-only issue, as I recall seeing a bug report about something similar recently. Unfortunately X11-only bugs are not a high priority today with Wayland being the default session type and approximately 80% of Plasma 6 users being on Wayland.
If you reinstall what was deleted, do those buttons regain their function?
Just wondering if perhaps the process of removing packages and/or configuration files unintentionally removed something used by those session control functions?
