Since last update (1.33.5), Android pushes ALL notifications to computers

Using KDE Connect 1.33.5 from Google Play and Debian 12 KDE on three separate machines.

Ever since this latest update (1.33.5), a very inconvenient situation arose. Notifications are synced between the Android phone and the computers so that KDE connect dumps all notifications that the computer has “missed”, literally syncing them I suppose. The idea is (and this is how it used to work) that KDE Connect only pushes unread notifications.

Is this a bug or a feature? Because if it is a feature it’s very poorly thought. It’s useful to see unread notifications, but entirely useless to be shown a notification that is 4 days old and I’ve already seen and swiped on my phone.

Moreover: Where does KDE Connect find this info? Does it store notifications somewhere and then dumps them all to the connected computer? Does it simply access the notification history of the phone?

If there is no solution to this (existing or upcoming) I’ll sadly have to disable notifications (and probably remove KDE Connect, because notifications were 80% of the reason I’ve been using it).

Thanks for any help or suggestions

I’m encountering exactly the same issue. It’s quite frustrating indeed. Hope it will be fixed soon.
