No worries at all, I hope that reverting it won’t break it for non-breeze users, thus suggesting adding an additional value to an existing setting. Personally I am obviously fine with a revert, but then I am a boring breeze user. Thanks for looking into it, and let me know if you need additional info.
I’ll see if we need to make it 48px on regular breeze and 16px on other styles. I’d rather avoid that but Dolphin does so much custom stuff, it’s hard to keep up with these values at times. 
let me know if it needs testing, as long as it’s a patch I can apply against regular 26.08.0 (or what fedora makes out of it) that should be mostly simple. For now I shall go have some sleeps, but I can look at the thread again tomorrow.
I’ll add the info to my bug report as well, or the master bug report by now, and mark mine as dupe.

I’ve been really busy with wrapping up Union QtWidgets stuff but after that I can take a look.
If someone else is faster, feel free to tinker, I can review.
Ideally in future these values are adjustable by the theme you’re using.
An update for Dolphin just arrived that restored the previous state (EndeavourOS). Thanks @akselmo

As we’re working on Union some things in apps may change too so there may be bugs like this. I wish only for patience and good bug reports in these cases, which has been the case in this thread (thank you!)
Hi @akselmo , from which version was this supposedly fixed? I have 26.08.0 in OpenSuse and the narrow space problem is still there.
@DavidNemeskey It’s not actually “fixed” until Dolphin 26.08.1, which most people don’t have, and will not have for another week. The thread is marked as solved because the fix has already been applied upstream (the development servers/version), but will not get to the general user base yet.
