Skrooge does not recognize password after attempted ubuntu upgrade

so where is the skrooge password stored? I still can’t get into the latest version. . . asking for password, never asked before

Yes, sorry it was not clear.
Forcing the install of that specific version worked for me. I can now open my files again.

sudo flatpak update --commit=bbaaefe55b89db87fcd7f3ff6bd7b791f5ae539947b85313e487f9b1a0fd2fd7 org.kde.skrooge
