Something very strange things happened yesterday

KDE-Plasma version 6.2.0

first:
I started AUDACITY (Appimage) after a while, when I copied something
with CTRL + C and inserted with CTRL + V, the software reacted strangely.
The Result of CTRL + V was not that which I copied before, doing that method with right mouse button worked fine as it should be.
Even after I rebooted the system, I had the same peculiarity.

second:
Using KDEnlive, I created a Youtube Video only with an mp3 and 3 different .png files, finishing with the job,
I saw my own photo as a thumbnail on that video!
I never touched my photo during the last 1 week, and I am 100% sure I didn’t put it into the video I created!

Working with both software my mouse did not always reacted as it was usual, sometimes it has ignored my moves and pressing the buttons.
And some strange reactions from “Brave” were also observed

Is it possible that my PC has been hacked or is being hacked?

Don’t worry about being hacked lol, I can assure you It is just software having a few issues with itself

Its likely that the App Image version of Audacity for you has a bug when you ctrl c and ctrl v, you can report that to Audacity or the App Image team

For the peculiar thumbnail, the file explorer is probably messing up & confusing thumbnails to which file it is, try:

  • Refreshing
  • Renaming it something else
  • Looking at it with another file explorer
  • Deleting .thumbnails [check view hidden files to see it] and refreshing
