I use gcompris-qt (25.1) with archlinux (up to date) installed with pacman , but it the same problem installing the games with Flatpak.
Environment is xfce.
Sound is playing well is most of the games , but with “musical” games , in Tux , like (“joue du piano”, or “Bats la mesure”, or “composition pour piano”), no sound is played from the instrument itself (piano or keyboard), however voice , music are playing well.
Is it a bug or something is missed in my environment ?
Thanks for providing gcompris !!
Just in case it happens to other people, we found a solution/workaround: https://invent.kde.org/education/gcompris/-/merge_requests/278/diffs.
Unfortunately, for now, we don’t plan to create a bugfix release for it because we will do a major release beginning of next year which will contain the fix.
A solution on your side to still be able to play these activities is to use the standalone version we provide in https://gcompris.net/downloads-fr.html#linux. This uses an older Qt version which do not have the issue.
I’m closing the issue as a fix is done and a solution provided, thanks again for raising it!
