Sounds are missing in Plasma 6

I’ve been wondering for a few days why there are missing sounds.

In Plasma 5 I had the Oxygen theme and you heard sound when you maximize a window, minimize it, empty the trash, etc etc.

In Plasma 6, Oxygen was deprecated and Ocean is very sparse in sounds:

That sound in the list, trash-empty.oga (is the sound for trash can deleted), never sound. Only sounds question-dialog.oga for ask “You are sure to do?” and after never sounds trash-empty.oga.

And no matter how much I look in Notifications (whether system list or applications list) there is nothing to attach a sound when you maximize, minimize, etc. etc.

Some solution for this questions?

Install oxygen-sounds

The problem is the missing actions to attach sounds (and the lack of these).

Please, read (and see the screenshots) carefully in the OP (mention Oxygen is a example).

Sure.

I have a folder /mnt/Audio/Sounds which contains all of the interesting sounds I come across.

I have a ton of Star Trek TOS sounds, also Oxygen theme sounds, and many interesting sound effects (like ‘Latch On’ for engaging CapsLock, and ‘Latch Off’ for disengaging it).

The solution is to download the sounds to your machine and set them up as you wish…

You can back up sounds from /usr/share/sounds

You can download or install plasma-mobile-sounds, retroarch-assets-sounds, sound-theme-smooth, and (obviously) oxygen sounds.

/usr/share/sounds/oxygen/stereo/

You might be able to copy them back from a Plasma 5 snapshot if you still have one.

However, if the actions are missing then it’s not trivial to attach a sound; sadly you didn’t really specify what action is missing a sound.
