I’m not sure if this is a bug. When I select “Current Screen”, the options window still appears in the screenshot. I encountered similar issues in the previous version, but I trusted they’ll fix it.

Hi - assuming that you have animations enabled on your system, this looks like an instance of the following issue reported in the KDE Bugtracking System: 376865 – In-progress or half-finished animations (especially for menus) included when capturing a screenshot with no delay
If you have diagnostic information that isn’t already captured there, adding that to a comment on that report would be helpful 
Otherwise, you can add yourself to the CC list in Bugzilla to get email notifications whenever new comments are added, or the status is changed. Making sure the “Add me to CC list” option is checked, then choosing “Save Changes”, will add you:
