Stuck on wayland login screen after updating

Hello,

I‘ve installed updates through apt and after I rebooted this issue occurs now:

  1. I enter my password
  2. The login is successful
  3. The desktop tries to load (black screen with cursor)
  4. screen goes back to login

Did anyone experience this as well? And how can I fix this?

I fixed the issue by logging in through the CTRL + ALT + F2 terminal, running „sudo apt-get dist-upgrade“ and rebooting the system.
