System Settings launching on reboot, login

I decided to give Wayland a run finallynow that the 555 nVidia drivers are out. I have EVERYTHING set to my liking, including having Wayland remember which apps for which desktop and their positions. The only thing I’ having issues with is that if I reboot or log off /on System Settings also launches. I have checked Autostart and no it not there by mistake. Any idea on how to fix this? Thanks

EDIT:
Just noticed that on reboot only one Dolphin window out of two that should launch actually launches.

A saved session?

No the setting is right.

I seeing this on my Fedora laptop. I do not see it on my neon PC.

It was very reminiscent of the old KDE bug where some apps would get ‘stuck’ in the session restore and always launch at next login. That old bug was remedied by temporarily switching to an empty session for a login.

There are reports about this bug on the new ‘fake’ session restore.

But the old trick doesn’t work on my Fedora install for this on Plasma 6.

I didn’t want to try that til I had feed back. Will give it a go and let you know. Thanks

EDIT:

None of what’s in either of those bug reports seems to have solved the report creators issue.

OK set start with empty session, closed everything, rebooted, seemed as it should, opened my Dolphin windows, set Desktop Session back to on login, launch apps that were open and I’m back to System Settings launching on reboot / login.

You tried that, probably: set everything to the state you want after login, and then save that as session.
