"Tabs Option in Dolphin Frame" proposal!

Following the recent success of Affinity, a well-known suite of programs that invented the ability to incorporate multiple apps into a single window, this option for Dolphin came to mind: adding a “title bar button” called “tab” that, by dragging and dropping into a single window, allows multiple apps to be opened in that window, and these can be interchanged like browser tabs by clicking the app’s corresponding icon that is created, as in the image.

This possibility of grouping several windows together existed in KDE 3 (and 4?), but was abandoned.

On the other hand, there is Kparts technology, used in Kontact, or to integrate Konsole into Kate/Dolphin, etc.

Finally, it seems redundant with task selectors and activities.

It’s an interesting idea, but I don’t think KDE will be able to follow through with it.

However, I see potential in moving two apps like Krita and Inkscape together in a single window, it saves time, even if it is accompanied by a reference from the web. This idea had a good effect on Affiniti xd… if KDE 4 and 5 had it, it must have been nice to work with, I used Gnome 2 and I didn’t know it!
