When I push the Windows key down, for any duration, my dock will instantly appear.
I’m using WaveTask but I don’t believe that is the issue. This only started happening once I upgraded to 6.7.5-1 packages. Is there a switch I can flip to stop this?
meta is bound to the application launcher by default, and an auto-hide dock will slide out the moment that press hits.
System Settings → Shortcuts → Plasma → Activate Application Launcher. clear Meta or move it to something else.
also check WaveTask / panel settings for auto-hide / dodge windows. if the panel is set to auto-hide, any Meta press that focuses the launcher will pop it.
say if Meta still does anything after you clear that shortcut.
Since clearing the shortcut and disabling auto-hide changed nothing, I’d isolate WaveTask first. Quit it fully, then press and hold Meta. If the dock stays put, WaveTask is catching the key or drawing its own dock. If it still appears, open System Settings → Keyboard → Shortcuts and search for every entry containing Meta, including KWin and Plasma. Clear duplicates, log out, then test again. Also try a fresh Plasma panel for one login. That tells you whether the panel config is involved.
