whenever I clear text from the terminal, or scroll a bit “fast”, i see small artifacts littered on the empty lines. these go away if I do a selection drag over them, but it’s very annoying seeing them. any way around this?
Knowing nothing about your system, I’d ask: Was there ever a point where this worked for you previously (on the same computer)? If you’re talking about Konsole, perhaps you changed the appearance settings of your profile to something not that well supported.
Maybe try a different or create a new profile from scratch.
Another thing is to try a different zoom level on your display settings. I’ve heard 125% zoom has created issues in the past.
Hi - to Lenzoid’s point, if you’re using fractional scaling, your issue might be covered by fixes coming down the pipeline based on this bug report: 491562 – konsole leaves artifacts among text with fractional scaling
it looks like this might be the case, and this is the first time I’m realizing i’ve been using fractional scaling, set to 175, no less. lmao
I guess that’s a good sign that the system picked a good default scaling level for your monitor
