I had Elisa import 85,000 songs in FLAC quality (2.2 TB). Afterwards, I wanted to add all 85,000 songs to the queue. Whilst doing so, Elisa started to freeze and was using 90 per cent of the CPU.
This keeps happening.
How can I fix this problem?
elisa faceplants when you dump a giant library into the queue in one go. 85k tracks is a lot for that playlist model.
dont select all and add to queue. play from the library view, or add albums in smaller batches.
if it still pegs cpu on open, try:
elisa --reset-config
or wipe ~/.local/share/elisa/ and let it reindex once. also check whether baloo is still chewing that 2.2tb tree at the same time. elisa plus a full reindex will freeze the box.
