When I work with a clip that has a 192kbps audio bitrate and export it to MP4 (the same format as the original clip), the file is generated with a 160kbps bitrate.
Is there a way to maintain the same audio bitrate?
Additionally, is there a way to copy a video profile to edit it, so I can just change the audio bitrate?
I’d also be actually listening to the result and asking: Is your source audio so challenging that you can actually hear the difference?
Because if it is, then a lossy to lossy rencoding, even to the “same” bitrate is also likely to degrade it in a similarly Noticable way.
It’s always nice to have some headroom in your master material, but there isn’t much value in overinflating the bitrate of a final render beyond what causes a genuinely perceptible change when you actually listen to it.
