Karp is an especially exciting product as a user who remembers all the struggles finding good software to perform those tasks in my Windows days

I’m excited to try OptiImage but it’s not yet in FlatHub. Is there a KDE process for getting KDE apps into FlatHub, or should I go through FlatHub’s standard request process?

Hi @redshift - there’s a KDE Flathub Team, with their main page on Invent located here: Flathub · GitLab

Among the issues being tracked there is a running one of KDE applications that aren’t yet published on Flathub, which currently does include OptiImage: Missing or in progress KDE Apps on Flathub (#14) · Issues · Teams / Flathub / Issues · GitLab

If you’re wanting to get involved in development there, a guide has been published on the KDE Developer Documentation site: Distributing KDE Software as Flatpak | Developer

Hope that helps!

Thanks @johnandmegh. I looked into it a bit, and it seems OptiImage already has a flatpak, but it’s just in the KDE nightly repo. The relevant documentation makes it sound like the next steps for getting it into Flathub should be done by the software maintainers, communicating as KDE to Flathub. That’s not me, so I’ll wait it out for now. Thanks for the pointer.

Saying this as the maintainer of OptiImage, feel free to publish it on Flathub. I am a bit overloaded with tons of task at the moment and help with publishing it on flathub is very welcome

For anyone else interested, I created a PR to add OptiImage to Flathub. Thanks Carl for the tips in PM!
