Technically Akademy isn’t part of Plasma, but most of KDE’s movers and shakers were here in Würzburg for Akademy 2024 this week, so the list of technical work merged was understandably light; we were all busy with conference things! Sorry but the new tabs are not good, it is much slicker now.
Keep in mind that visual is for a very specific case - “tab”-type buttons, typically in property sheets and things like that - that expand to fill an entire space, not the classic use-case for tabs in things like Dolphin, Konsole, etc.

Tabs are tabs. These are uglier and unreadable compared to the current one which are fine.

The global structure and organization of information in the window is very difficult to parse visually.
