I must say that I’m always a little bit confused every time I disable WiFi because of the “desktop screen + Ethernet cable” icon since I’ve only been using laptops for years, and haven’t used one with Ethernet port for at least ten years. Or maybe it’s even any FireWire 800 cable in the icon (like I had one on a now 20 years old laptop)?
But I’m still okay with the floppy drive as the save icon, so maybe it’s only some technologies that haven’t aged as well
Y’all fix these issues too quickly! By the time I get around to diagnosing issues with my system, they are fixed in an update! Now I actually get to use my computer and be productive instead of procrastinate diagnosing issues!
To be fair, my overall experience with KDE has been basically perfect. 11/10.
The table view was retired. There is an option (top right corner) for “compact” mode, which shows just the job title and any actions available for the job, albeit still in card component.
Plasma 6.6 seems to have a memory issue that crashes my system when using a browser with many tabs or opening two browsers. My system become unresponsive and requires a hard reboot.
This is likely to be a system integration issue more relevant to your OS than Plasma. Total system freezes are generally caused by GPU driver issues, memory exhaustion, and I/O contention, none of which Plasma has that much control over.
