This Week in Plasma: 6.7 beta release - KDE Blogs

So I’ve installed it from Arch kde-unstable repos (version 6.6.91-1), and my experience so far is concerningly bad, I don’t even know how and what to report it as, so commenting for now in case anyone else saw anything similar.

So firstly, I started getting seldom concerning bright screen flashes (usually when opening the settings app) (worth noting I have OLED screen with HDR enabled) (I sincerely hope it’s a software rather than hardware issue tbh…). I tried plasma-bigscreen, but both trying to switch to it from desktop shortcut or from SDDM resulted in a black screen. I rebooted my PC then, logged back into my regular Plasma, and saw my main panel height was for some reason changed from 44 to 30???

Plasma bigscreen bot Starring is because of a wrong path in the desktop file. You have to run /usr/lib/plasma-dbus-run-session-if-needed /usr/bin/plasma-bigscreen-wayland in a new tty instead of loging in with sddm. I think this is a packaging issue but I could only find the issue tracker for 5.27 in Arch’s gitlab.
