Welcome to a new issue of This Week in Plasma!
This week saw a bunch of work on some core infrastructure components, like the RDP server, login greeter, and screen configuration tooling. That’s in addition to lots of other good work, too:
This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://blogs.kde.org/2026/07/25/this-week-in-plasma-auto-lock-and-unlock-for-remote-desktop-sessions/

You can now configure Plasma’s built-in remote desktop server to automatically lock the session after the last connected RDP client disconnects.
By the way, would be great to implement auto lock the session by the Bluetooth proximity data, it would be a very convenient feature!
There are many pretty old solutions like this K-Blueproximity - KDE Store or this GitHub - tiktaalik-dev/blueproximity: Desktop application to lock/unlock your screen automatically based on detecting how close it's to another Bluetooth device (e.g. your mobile phone). · GitHub or BlueProximity download | SourceForge.net that are pretty outdated, hard to install and usually don’t work with the modern KDE, so would be great to create a new modern implementation!
