Tool Backup Plasma Settings?

I checked and yes, Kwallet seems to be in the settings so this is part of KDE Plasma base config. I don’t know why this is the case , because I think that I should have the freedom to choose a different one (if there is one).

All other software listed in settings under “Default applications” can be selected or changed.
I do not have to use Dolphin, Konsole, Kmail, Firefox, Ark, Okkular, kwrite, Elisa or KDE connect in order to use KDE Plasma. I have the freedom to use other software.

Even plasma-systemmonitor is a standalone application, as far as I know.

The software i just listed does not effect the functioning of KDE Plasma and does therefore not fit the lable “KDE Base settings”. I can run Plasma without these apps perfectly well.

as a curiosity, what terminal does the minimal install come with?

it has to include something so you can access the command line, no?

What, like the TTY? I themed mine, it’s nice with Dracula theming.

A terminal can be installed separately.

I once created an arch distro of my own and i did not include console in it, but another terminal. So why not.. so the settings of Konsole (or some other terminal) are not part of the base settings.

As far as i know., by the experience of building my own distro, is installing a terminal like Konsole is not necessary .. it might not be a great option to not installing a terminal, but hey … you can. Prove me otherwise.

And again, my goal is to define three groups for backing up config files with never have been done.

i guess you can just use ctrl+alt+F(n) for command line access, but i would think having a terminal window would be infinitely more preferable and accessible.

so what i’m hearing it that it does not come with one.

again : i’m talking about backup config files . not using apps.

pure backup locations and defining so we can come to a backup standard.
