Touch pad & 4 finger swipe, bug workaround?

When using 4 finger swipe to manage the virtual desktops, my laptop has a bug that I’ve reported here; https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=485287

4 finger swipe works fine for 5 min or so, and then gets very unpredicatable and even simply stops working. Using “super-W” a few times seems to “reset” everything and then 4 finger swipe works fine for a while.

My question is, is there a command that I can try to run in the background every few seconds that resets the touchpad deamon or such?

For me, I’ve never had any issues before. But now, the touchpad gestures have completely stopped working for the past 2 days… I guess this really is some sort of a bug.
I have BTRFS snapshots enabled, so I looked through all my snapshots - the 4 finger touchpad gestures work in none.

I’m using Fedora Linux KDE.

For my specific problem, I’ve tried various versions of KDE/Plasma, on various builds (Fedora, Arch, Debian, Ubuntu, etc), and it always happens. It didn’t happen on KDE/Plasma pre v6, and does’nt happen on Ubuntu. Ubuntu’s touch pad actions are smooth and stable, but I hate the lack of user control Ubuntu gives over the desktop. Ug. Anyway. Let’s hope we find a solution.

Good news, I fixed mine by enabling this
Probably yours is a different issue :red_question_mark:
