Touchpad not found in latest KDE Neon

Good evening,

I couldn’t find a solution after days of searching.
My touchpad on my Acer E5-771 stopped working correctly suddenly. It works but any multitouch stuff like 2 finger taps for right click, natural scrolling direction, tap to click and swiping gestures stopped working. I went to the KDE Mouse settings and nothing shows up. Nothing under Mouse and nothing under Touchpad. The problem is the same under X11 and Wayland.

What I tried:

added “i8042.nopnp=1 pci=nocrs” to my grub default config as suggested in another thread. Didn’t change anything.
btw: my full grub default config looks like this (i had to do these modifications to solve a shutdown issue on this acer laptop as it wouldnt reboot or shutdown correctly):

GRUB_DEFAULT=0
GRUB_TIMEOUT_STYLE=hidden
GRUB_TIMEOUT=0
GRUB_DISTRIBUTOR='lsb_release -i -s 2> /dev/null || echo Debian'
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash loglevel=0 rcutree.rcu_idle_gp_delay=1 acpi_osi=!"
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=""

Here are some informations:
