Transaction's asset account changed to expense category.

I tried to move a transaction from one expense category to another from the category ledger window. Now the transaction account is the original category instead of the original asset account.

Is there a way I can access the account field to change it from the expense category to the asset account?

This is the first issue I’ve had with KMyMoney in 10 years.

You can resolve the issue as follows:

  • open the category ledger window and revert the operation by moving the transaction to the original asset account. Save the transaction.
  • Goto the ledger of the asset account
  • Edit the transaction and assign it the target category.

Hope that helps. What you tried to do might not be supported the way you did it. That is most likely why it misbehaved.
