I have been working most of the day with Kadenlive, but in my current project, I rescued a long clip from an old drive, transferred it via usb to my laptop, brought the lip into Kdenlive. It is the only clip in this 20 minute project. I created title clips at the beginning and end of the timeline, both placed on the video track just above the track that contains my video clip.
I create a fade in and fade out on the title clip.
When I watch the monitor during playback of the timeline, the trasitions on the title clip work, but the fade-in/fade-out transitions on the video clip are not working, as though I had not set any fades on that track at all. I can see the colored web-shaped that you drag using the dot that forms when you hover over the top corners at each end of the clip.
But the clip starts and stops without fading in or out.
It is only this last project that is giving me this problem. On previous projects today, transitions worked just fine.
BTW, this old clip is an .avi, but all my video on that old disk is in video format, and they all worked fine with regard to transitions on the track just under my title track. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
