In the German translation of “Sichtbarkeit”, the word ‘begrenzend’ is used for “automatically in the background”. That’s an unnatural translation. “Automatisch” would be better. Who or where can I contact about this, or where can I help with the translation myself? Or could someone from the forum pass this on? Thanks.

I think the German translation team uses Phabricator, but I am unfamiliar with the actual workflow.
The easiest way is probably to follow the link @Krovikan posted and message them on the mailing list.
