Trouble installing

Hello  I’ve built a new computer for my kid and decided to give KDE neon a try as the OS. I downloaded the February 2 build of the User Edition Live/Install Image, but when we boot it, we’re taken to a screen showing just a desktop wallpaper. There’s a mouse cursor, but nothing else is on screen. With the quick launch shortcut, it’s possible to run a terminal, but even basic utilities don’t exist. Firefox can be launched, but the machine isn’t on the network and it doesn’t have ifconfig. Not sure what I’m missing. What to do?

I figured it out. It thought I had two monitors attached and my main monitor was being the secondary monitor. All the UI was, I presume, present on the “primary” monitor where it couldn’t be seen. This second “monitor” was a Wacom 13 tablet, and when I unhooked it, I got the regular UI and was able to perform an installation. Perhaps it would make sense, in a future version, to have some kind of indication on secondary displays, just in case the primary display isn’t actually visible? Anyway, I’m unblocked.
