Hi Members,
Below are two video clips (clip #1 and clip #2) of a guitarist singing in a music video I am making using Kdenlive. I only enabled the Transform effect in both clips (to maintain a reduction in video size-appearance and the Saturation effect (to maintain black and white appearance versus the original which was in color). Both clips use the wipe effect (like a crossfade). I am content with clip #1 as the lighting was just-right and little was needed in the way of effects. As mentioned above, I have the Transform and Saturation effects enabled on both clips as well as a few blur effects to soften the image (which I have disabled to keep the clips as original for my question here).
As clip #2 appears full-on you can see that it looks too stark and the continuity between clip #1 and clip #2 is lost. I tried applying various effects to edit clip #2 so the brightness and lighting looks similar to clip #1 but no luck. Dug deep on the net to find solutions. No luck and probably because I’m not using the correct effects-nomenclature that results in a search solution.
When enabled, I did use the Brightness effect to lower the brightness (to some some degree) but the continuity between both clips is still kinda weird looking. Clip #2 still stands out too much. This is a result of either the singer turned his face slightly or the light was moved (I don’t remember) during clip #2 recording. As a result there is no light shadow on the right side of singers face in clip #2 as there is in clip #1.
Can someone please suggest an effect or effects to bring clip #2 to ‘life’ by adding the following:

possibly adding a lighting-shadow to the singers right side of face as in clip #1.

fixing brightness in clip #2 to look similar to clip #1.

a brief description on how to use those recommended effects.
I’m getting very good at manuevering around many effects but weak on the effects nomenclature. Thus making it difficult to communicate my issues but learning as I move forward. Next time I won’t move the light and will work on keeping the singer in the same position (as clip #1) during recording. My mistake. Appreciate the kind suggestions. Thank you.
