Unit Converter is crashing my plasmashell and my weather system tray notification can not connect to the server

Hello,

For the past week I’ve had an issue where I can not use the search feature through the application launcher when Unit Converter is enabled under plasma search. As soon as I begin typing into the search bar, my system hangs and plasmashell crashes. When I disable the Unit Converter plugin, the search bar functions as normally and there are no crashes.

In addition, the weather report has not been able to retrieve weather information in the system tray. I get an error that the network request has timed out. I haven’t seen any other reports about this and the NOAA server is up, so I’m not sure why it would be timing out. It may be a bit of a reach, but maybe the weather applet is unable to convert the temperatures as there seems to be an issue with my Unit Converter plugin?

Here is a log file for when these issues occur:

I’m unsure how to fix this. I’ve tried googling but haven’t found anything that could help me. So far I’ve tried deleting my ~/.cache/ folder and running system updates but the problems still persist.

Thank you for reading this and hopefully someone can help me fix this without a reinstall
