updades won't download

ok so i’m new to this comunity so sory if i did some ting wrong but i recently instald kne noen user edition plazma 6.7.0 and i try to download system updates that are in Discover but in the updates tab it’s just a ful bar and at the top it’s just saying downloading updates but the number of the updates is just increasing maybe is’s just my internet but this system is just so good that i’m I’m wondering to fully swich on kde

Discover does not share the reason why an update cannot be done in a lot of cases.

Use the command line method of updating for kde neon so that you can see any error messages.

You are probably hitting a bug in Discover, mentioned here as well as here.

Basically, you want to remove the Snap backend, at least for now.

sudo apt remove plasma-discover-backend-snap

You don’t need to remove more than this at all, unless you know you don’t use Snap packages at all.

That’s really nice of you to help, claydoh, but I’m going to stick with 6.5.5—at least it’s stable—and I’m waiting for 6.7.1 to see what’s changed and if it’s more reliable. Thanks.

That’s one solution, but it doesn’t fix the other issues I’ve pointed out

Thx a LOOOOOT but coudl u give me a comand to reverse this for future?

You would just use apt install instead of apt remove.
Or install Synaptic package manager for a GUI tool for managing deb packages if you don’t feel comfortable with the command line:

sudo apt install synaptic
