I put together a Krusader UserAction that opens a terminal at the active panel’s current location — works for both local directories and remote sftp/fish panels.
Local panel: opens a new terminal and cds to that directory.
Remote (sftp/fish) panel: opens a new terminal and starts an SSH session directly into that host, landing in the exact same remote directory.
It uses whichever terminal you’ve already got configured in Krusader (Settings → Configure Krusader → General → External terminal) — Konsole, xterm, xfce4-terminal, gnome-terminal, alacritty, kitty, terminator, tilix, qterminal, and lxterminal are all handled. Falls back to Konsole if your configured terminal isn’t recognized.
This fills a long-standing gap — normally “Open Terminal Here” on a remote/sftp panel just opens a local terminal in your home directory instead of actually connecting to the remote host (see KDE bug 188794).
