Update notifier not refreshing on Fedora 39

I’m a bit puzzled about the update notifier in system tray:

After a fresh boot of my system, right clicking on update notifier and then clicking on refresh triggers packagekit according to journalctl.

But after some days with suspends, this doesn’t work anymore, i.e. no more packagekit entries showing up in system journal.

What usually helps is (besides starting Discover) is to invoke a pkcon refresh force. Note the force parameter. This will make update notifier active again and show available updates.

Not sure if this is Fedora or KDE related. I learned that pkcon refresh requires the force parameter (as default for --cache-age will never enforce a real refresh).

So maybe this is the reason that I do not get update available notifications?
