Uptime shows 2 users

Is it normal for uptime to show 2 users? I only have 1 account showing in system > users. This changed recently sometime during plasma 6.1 update, I don’t know if it’s related to wayland and x11 sessions because I have both of them installed. who command shows tty2 pts/0 pts/1 and my distro is arch.

The w command displays information about the users currently on the machine, and their processes.

For me it is two times me, one time logged in as a systemd user and one time at a plasma-wayland session.

I see. For me it shows me 2 times, systemd user and x11 session, that uptime command showing 2 users is a possible bug? It was not there as of 2 months ago and I even did a system rollback with timeshift to double check which showed 1 user after which I did system update and it changed back to 2 users.

My guess, after trying to understand some Archwiki pages, would be: some systemd shenanigans as it is responsible for the login (systemd-logind) but runs it own services outside logind. ? And probably okay.

systemds loginctl list-sessions command shows me as “class” user and a second time as manager.

But I have installed Arch for the first time 3-4 Weeks ago, not sure what maybe changed.

For the uptime command, as a short google search revealed many people “complaining” about more than 1 user for ages I would probably not consider that as a bug (maybe not showing the “second session” was a bug, though).
