I’m using a headset with a USB dongle on KDE Neon 6.2, but there’s no audio output via the dongle unless the system volume is set to 100%. Additionally, the sound only plays on one side (either left or right). For context, the headset supports three connection modes: wireless (using either a USB dongle or Bluetooth) and wired. The Bluetooth connection works perfectly without any issues.
I suspect the issue might be related to ALSA, as it seems to set the volume to 0% by default. I can temporarily fix this by adjusting the volume for both channels (PCM and PCM1) in alsamixer, but this is not a permanent solution.
Has anyone else encountered this problem or found a more permanent fix?
For reference, I found the temporary solution in a blog post titled “DAXA Sedna SL1: No Audio on Ubuntu.”
