USB Touchscreen Monitor (no display)

I have a USB C monitor. The pen and touch is working, but it is not showing up as a monitor option so there is no video/display. Instead touch is registering on the main DisplayPort display. I have an NVidia graphics card.

Running xrandr --query shows:
Screen 0: minimum 16 x 16, current 5120 x 2160, maximum 32767 x 32767
DP-2 connected primary 5120x2160+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 929mm x 392mm
5120x2160 59.97*+
2048x1536 59.95
1920x1440 59.90
1600x1200 59.87

I think the issue was displayport over USB. Instead of trying to figure that out, I found a workaround by buying this cable - /dp/B0BNX7MS6N

This allows the monitor to register as separate display port monitor and USB input device. I did have to send power to the second port on the monitor, but for now it’s a good workaround to get full functionality from the display.
