Using kdenlive with SWF files?

I own in my possession a copy of macromedia flash 8 before adobe bought the software. I wish to not use premier pro and/or after effects, so what options do I have with macromedia flash and kdenlive.

Some habits die hard, hence why I’m still using flash 8 for personal animation, but I don’t want the video or png sequence to appear blurry or pixelated when rendered as 1080p or 4K from kdenlive export. Can there be a way to import the .swf file directly? Thank you for the work on kdelive.

Have you tried it? According to the list of supported MIME types, SWF should work:

I just tried it, it said it couldn’t open the file type. This is despite it was seeable with the supported imports option selected in the file dialogue. I wish I could get terminal output, but I’m on my windows machine right now, and the command prompt doesn’t show stdout to me, it just shows a new terminal prompt.
