This is not a major concern, but I figured the information might be helpful. When using Kate 25.04.3 on Debian 13 Stable and Plasma desktop, I use the VI input mode regularly, and often times after saving the file by using “:w” syntax, the display text “Success: Document written to disk” will display normally at the bottom of the code display, but when the message text is supposed to disappear (I’m assuming), instead of completely disappearing - the first part of the sentence that’s hovering over the line numbers flickers on and off at a hyper rate, and so I manually click in the code display with my mouse to break the loop and the message text disappears correctly.
I managed to capture the broken text in a screenshot, the “Success: D-” part is what is flickering. As far as I can tell it’s just a cosmetic issue and figured I’d just mention it
