Hi there, I’m new to Linux with a general understanding on how everything works. I’m learning as much I can with limited hours available to do so. I’ve done a little research on some free video editing software options and I’ve been a little unlucky with what I’ve done so far. I am currently running an older Dell Precision 3520 that runs 2 graphics cards - an Intel AMD 630 thats integrated and a NVIDIA Quadro M620 that is Discrete.
I’m trying to do some video editing to colorize some greyscale videos I have and have unfortunately spent hours trying to get software to run so I can use a good video editor. Because of the NVIDIA card being somewhat useless (a can barely operate DaVinci - it crashes almost immediately) and using GROK and Claude to walk me through the Konsole process, I’m burnt out on trying to get anything to work. Does anybody have any advice while I await my Alienware to be fixed? What are some good options to colorize videos w/ my ghetto setup for the time being?
