Wallpaper positioning

howdy, I got a weird behavior of wallpaper. I have a FHD [screen/monitor resolution FHD aswell] picture, want to make it the wallpaper. Doing all the right click actions and setting it as one. But I cannot change the positioning! What ever I chose - centered, cropped, scaled, etc - picture does not resize! Other pictures with FHD resolutions act the same. What is that, why, and what to do?

I’m a bit confused, if you have a wallpaper that is 1920x1080 pixels and you want to put it on a desktop that is 1920x1080 - what kind of resizing you want to do? It should just fit.

when I select it to be, lets say tiled, it should get tiled

How do you expect a 1920x1080 image to be tiled into a 1920x1080 area? I’m seriously asking what you expect to happen.

As an explanation of what tiling a wallpaper often means (and what it means in Plasma) is that if you had an image that is 800x600 and you’d set it as a tiled wallpaper on a 1920x1080 screen, you’d get the image positioned to the top left (its first pixel is at 0,0) and in the empty space to the right of it you’d get another copy of the image (it’s first pixel at 800,0), in the empty space under it you’d get another copy (it’s first pixel at 0,600) and a fourth copy at bottom right (it’s first pixel at 800,600) where all the additional copies are partially clipped off the screen.

A 1920x1080 image fills the entire 1920x1080 screen so there’s no need for additional tiles.
