For me, based on Breeze
I’d say that you have ‘Fedora’ then ‘Fedora Dark’ and then ‘Automatic’.
Those would be the three themes, and they can be different for all distributions.
I have Breath light/dark/automatic.
Others likely have Breeze.
Especially these are a sub-selection of Global Themes. For the latter, you select a theme, apply and that’s it.
There’s a bit more logic in Quick Settings, where you can select with the dropdown which theme you want to be using for respectively Light and Dark theme, with the automatic selection switching between those two.
“Fedora” is based on Breeze Twilight, so it’s not a pure light theme. It has the panel and widgets dark, but application windows light.
I think (but not 100% sure) that literally the only difference between Fedora and Breeze Twilight is the Fedora logo for the application launcher on the panel. The same for Fedora Dark vs Breeze Dark.
I think I got it. what is confusing it that apart from colors it also changes window decoration and cursors. Not sure what it does that. KDE Plasma themes are confusing.
I don´t think there is updated, understandable documentation on kde plasma themes
These are how global themes work, they are all-encompassing and affect pretty much every theme section, as you can see below:
There’s sadly no way for the automatic switcher in Quick Settings to be configured to select only part of it sadly, and if you change part of the theme, the best way right now is to save your settings as a new global theme.
