What do the indicators in task bar indicate?

Likely a very dumb question – as the title asks. It looks the same in all windows, minimized or not, progressbar or not.

I may simply lacking the right google bait (would be sufficient for an answer), but I couldn’t find out.

If that is a specific issue, I’m using
Fancy Tasks 4.0
Plasma 5.27.5
KDE Frameworks 5.106.0
Manjaro
