Why these letters are underlined?
T, n, M, A, C, E, l, á, i
I can’t unsee those now ![]()
These do not appear in Plasma 5.
My first initial brain fart was that these are for keyboard shortcuts…but for what here? And what other key(s) are needed?
They are not consistent, either:
Seems like a bug under the Dolphin > “Properties” > “Details” page only. The other pages under “Properties” are correctly hiding the underlined letter (referred to as Keyboard Mnemonics).
The Alt key is supposed to reveal each letter and activate its shortcut.
I don’t see those: KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.5
I’m pretty sure they should only exist on the tabs - G for General, but not for the labels going down the list.
Sure, but not for ‘Type’ or ‘Dimensions’… OP should give some system information, and also test it out with a new $USER.

I created a bug report. A bit vague because I don’t quite understand this bug, but “á” being chosen as the shortcut is insane.
Please share the link.
if you use F11 do these underlines also appear there in the preview panel?
Does pressing the key copy to clipboard or something?
Is “á” on any popular keyboard layouts?
Not mine at least, I’d have to press Alt then ‘ then a. Very weird combination if intentional.
My guess is you set Alt to Compose…
Compose ’ gives you the accent…
My ‘compose’ is Shift+CapsLock… é á because RAlt is a 3rd level shifter.
FYI, I made a patch filemetadatawidget: remove TextInteractionFlag (!98) · Merge requests · Libraries / Baloo Widgets · GitLab in review.
