In my newly installed Feren OS, Nemo is the default file manager. Unfortunately, unlike in Linux Mint, for example, it does not have different background colors in the two-pane view.
This makes it impossible to tell which pane is active in the foreground.
I assume that this can be achieved by modifying a specific *.css file.
I see two ways to do this:
the use of developer tools to detect the corresponding settings. Which tool can you recommend?
I can’t say myself, though someone in here might have experience with this.
However, Nemo is a Gtk-based application used in the Cinnamon Desktop, and created by Linux Mint. It is unrelated to KDE and how its colors and styling are defined (it does not use css for this iirc), so you will likely want to extend your inquiries to Linux Mint and Feren resources as well.
There might be an Feren OS update of Nemo in near future, I read some days ago. Perhaps better to wait for it and not spend too much time to modify it sooner.
