It was occasionally useful but appears gone in kde6 and there is no mention of it anywhere that I can find.
The last I remember this had some bugs in Plasma 5.25, but for sure it isn’t available in Wayland (I don’t know about X11 because I don’t use it) and so I’d put it down to one of those things that didn’t get sorted in Wayland yet.
