Who keeps setting my virtual keyboard?

I’m the only one using my laptop. And because it is a laptop it has a keyboard and I don´t need a virtual keyboard.

What keeps enabling virt keyboard on my system?

Hmm. Using Arch in KDE X11 here:
The only sub-options I see under the Keyboard settings are “Keyboard” and “Shortcuts”. It’s likely that you have a package installed related to virtual and/or on-screen keyboards that causes this issue, or it could just be a Wayland-related issue.

Did you install the full KDE shebang (kde-meta), or just the DE (kde-desktop)?

6.6.4 doesn’t have the fix for the issue that kept resetting distro-overloaded settings. From this, related to what I wrote on Where are my displays? - #2 by stlnb.

I have seen the same problem reported in here ( [Fedora 41 KDE] Virtual Keyboard Keeps Enabling Itself – How to Disable Permanently?, you even replied here). I myself didn’t have that problem but it’s because I completely deleted any virt-keyboards. If you don’t need them, try deleting them?

I believe it’s bug 519481, with this fix which is in Frameworks 6.29.0.

(The same bug and fix that @johnandmegh linked to on Fedora Discussion.)

It should be OK on an updated Fedora install, and on mine I can successfully set the virtual keyboard to None.
